Aerowaves is a network and platform for the promotion of contemporary dance in Europe. The
network consists of 46 partners from 34 European countries. One of its goals is to identify and
promote the most promising new works by budding choreographers, creating opportunities to
present these works in theatres and festivals that are partners of the network, as well as beyond.
Members of the network meet twice a year, always in a different member country.

The basic and most important is the annual meeting of the members of the network in October, where the video
recordings of the submitted works are evaluated. The result of the evaluation is the TOP20 selection,
which is presented live at the second meeting of the network in the spring at the Spring Forward
festival.

The autumn meeting in 2024 will be held in Slovakia for the first time in the history of
Aerowaves, during the Bratislava in Movement festival, and will be an opportunity for us to present
the most interesting works of Slovak creators to members of the network.
